Zooburst is a digital storytelling tool that is designed to let anyone easily create their own customized 3D pop-up books. Using Zooburst, storytellers of any age can create their own rich worlds in which their stories can come to life. Go go www.zooburst.com or check it out below. THIS IS COOL!!!!
Storybird is the original diva of digital storytelling. Choose from a large variety of artist-created backgrounds and images to create a life-like story book. Go go www.storybird.com or TURN DOWN YOUR VOLUME and watch this tutorial.
Pic Lits is a really neat creative writing site that provides pictures and a word bank for students to create a enriched sentence or sentences about the picture. “The object is to put the right words in the right place and the right order to capture the essence, story, and meaning of the picture.” Students can choose to only drag words from the word bank to create their sentence or compose a sentence freestyle. Go to www.piclits.com or see below for some sample PicLit Poems.
DomoNation is a free animation website that is powered by Go! Animate. The site is very intuitive to use and makes impressive cartoon animations. Students can create animations with backdrops, characters, dialogue, props, music and special effects. Students can create one scene or several to complete their animation. Take a look at this crude example from youtube....must have been a middle school teacher! Or...go to www.domonation.com
